Material:

The blanket is made of wool of merino sheep and each wool fiber is 26 microns. One micron is equal to one thousandth of a millimeter and indicates the fineness of the wool fiber. The higher the micron value, the coarser the fiber. Unlike other blankets that are made of acrylic or acrylic wool blend, Cosima blanket is made of pure natural material.
The wool is hypoallergenic, which means optimally compatible and warms in winter and can also be used in summer as it is breathable.

Manufacture:
Due to the thick wool strands, the blanket is not knitted with knitting needles, but with the arms and hands - more handwork is not possible. The blanket is manufactured in Europe. Manufacturing in Europe is better for the climate and avoids long transport routes. So not only the material is natural, but also the production and transport.

Care:
Wool as a natural material has to a certain extent a self-cleaning effect and only needs to be aired and shaken from time to time. Care for the blanket as you would care for your finest wool sweater. Take the blanket to a professional cleaner when stains appear over time. If a stain needs to be removed immediately, clean the individual areas cold under running water and allow to air dry. Under no circumstances put the blanket completely in water, please leave the care of your blanket to the professionals, so that the wool blanket is optimally maintained. Since the wool is processed as naturally as possible for our blankets, pilling may occur in the course of use, this is normal and can be eliminated with a lint shaver for wool sweaters. The more friction on the blanket, the more pilling, but do not worry, protruding fibers can be easily plucked or removed with the lint shaver.
